How does the Hair Growth Simulator work?

The Hair Growth Simulator uses Three.js and custom GLSL vertex/fragment shaders with InstancedBufferGeometry. When you type a number, the exact quantity of hair strands is positioned on a 3D scalp using a seeded Fibonacci distribution and animated in real time.

What is the maximum number of hair strands supported?

You can enter any strand count between 1 and 20,000 strands. All 20,000 instances render at 60 FPS in a single GPU draw call.

Can I customize length, curl, and color?

Yes. The control panel allows adjusting strand length, curliness (sine-wave phase displacement), growth animation duration, and custom tip colors with dark root gradients.
