How does Simon Says But It Lies work?

Simon Says But It Lies is a 4-color panel memory sequence game (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow). The game plays a sequence of flashes that increases by one step each round. From round 3 onward, the game periodically presents a fake recap replay with altered or swapped steps to deceive you.

How do fake recaps work?

A fake recap is marked with '🔁 Replaying sequence...'. The game will swap two adjacent steps or alter a color. If you follow the fake recap replay instead of your original memory, the game catches you and triggers a 'Gotcha!' game over.
